Dog Tags, for a big, real furry dog!

Below are some photos of luggage tags I had made to use for dog tags for Taff's big road trip.

I like them because they are big, rugged, easy to read and do not disappear in the big furry dog.

How to make a luggage tag into a dog tag, step 1 - attach tag to collar, step 2 -watch dog chew tag, step 3- add another grommet and ring and attach tag to harness, success for now, even though it is upside down! hahaha

Note on bottom line of tag above is his breed. I also like the idea there is enough space to add a website with a long name. I removed the plastic strap and put them on with a big key ring, the one on his harness is on with a cable tie so they do not rub him.

We are field testing them now to make sure he can't chew them off, if so we will move the location so he can't reach them. hahaha.

You'll notice that from even a distance you can read the dogs name and if you can get closer without even grabbing him you can make out the info.

One tag also has his breed on, I felt this was important as most people do not know dog breeds.

A third tag has all our motel info on including the dates we are staying there.

All of these tags are very affordable and come in sets of three, so I have one for his harness, one for his luggage one for his leash or collar. A wide variety of colors is available also.

The embroidered tag  was from VisiTag

The big plastic tags were from Staples  just search for luggage tags, then click on acrylic luggage tags, they are from Mark The World a Staples service provider.

They would probably be great for luggage too!
