Well the "Taffster" had a big Gotcha Day Party here and boy was it a blow out. He not only had half the town but special Samoyed visitors that came from clear across the state!

First off we decorated the entire party room in a "Boot Hill Bar" decor (see photos on page 2 above)

I built  Taff a "corral" cause he is not real good around that much food! You will note a picture of him in it, barking his head off ,also on page two hahaha.

We had a pile of food: chili, hot dogs & chopped weenies, bread and crackers, pickles, stuffed celery, deviled eggs, chips, corn chips, pretzels, cookies, cupcakes, ice cream, root beer and other assorted soft drinks, coffee, and coleslaw that got left in the fridge upstairs cause I forgot it!

Listen I can make a cardboard box look like a palace with only duct tape and paint, but I ain't no cook, most of the food was brought by the guests. The chili took 4 long distance phone calls, and about 6 emails to figure out how much was needed  for the 48 invited and we only had about a gallon left over. Of course every REAL cook I asked had their own different recipe so I just added everything they all told me to add. Hey we're all friends here and nobody died hahaha.

Taff's toilet paper cake was the hit of the party and since Charlie was out giving motorcar rides to guests I had to take pictures. It was hard giving Taff the cake and shooting away at the same time. He was not real hungry having been snuck about 50lbs of treats, but later he was looking all over for those 8 rolls of toilet paper which he remembered being given and ripping apart hahaha. I hid dog treats inside the fake candle on top.

We did not have a lot of kids here but they were excited over the dogs, Ben the Lab was our only other dog guest, (beside the two Sammies), and he was living it up over all the ice cream floating  around, what a happy boy he was!

The other two Sammies worked the crowd, as only a Sammie can, charming everyone and I am sure getting treats. It is a wonder they are both not bald from all the petting. This performance was topped by Sonya making them do tricks on command....They also walk off leash and come when called......ARE YOU WATCHING TAFF????

We had country music playing and every once in a while the Taff did his Elvis  the crooner imitation with no prompting, trying to impress the female Sammie to no avail hahaha.

We left Taff out for a little while and he (deciding he is now a stud muffin in his own mind) was very rude to Ben. Sonya came over and like a miracle dog  physic, with a few words, got Taff to be nice and Ben happy again. Amazing woman! Then she tells me I can walk Taff away with his choke collar, you will note there is a photo of me with a near heart attack look on my face, (page 2) doing just that with Taff on one finger!!!

It was a beautiful day, we all had fun, there was plenty to eat, and then we proceeded to help Taff open his presents. Some who could not attend due to work schedules, sent presents anyhow.

I had informed everyone that all Taff needed was their smiling faces  at his party but as usual they all went WAY overboard, I could not believe all the presents this boy, who needs nothing, got! OH MY GOODNESS, and I did not realize till after the party I had no idea who had got what for him so I am taking this opportunity to thank you one and all and I deeply apologize for my oversight.

Taff got a  1/2 dozen cute cards, a real nice rolling toy box with a handle, a rug that says Wipe Your Paws, two cute bandanas which he wore, one has dog bones, the other has bowsy-wowsey-wolf-wolf on it, he got a dog bone shaped tennis ball chew toy, a plastic tall guy squeaky toy, an octopus stuffed squeak toy, a reindeer candy cane stripped stuffed toy, a blue rubber ring with bells inside chew toy,  a new  bigger stronger tie out cable and 31 boxes and bags of assorted treats and chews!

What a haul !!!!!!

The little neighbor girl told me she had so much fun (the party was only from 2-4pm) that she was now going to accept every invitation she got for  all  "Dog Parties". Which I took as a big compliment!

Taff was a happy, happy, boy and became worried when everyone started leaving as he could not understand why people would leave when there was still food and dogs to play with? He ended up barking his head off as the last few left. Humans go figure???

For the next two days he tried to get back downstairs to the party room, we ended up taking him down several times to assure him the party was over and everyone was gone!

I took that as a compliment too!

I took around 200 photos and got some real great pictures, check them out above. The little pup did not actually get here till the following Tuesday the 18th, she missed the party but then I took even more photos AND had enough drop in guests to see her, that I was able to use up the people snacks left over from the party! hahaha.

Thank you all for your help and support, thank you Sonya for driving clear over here to make Taff's day so special and bringing your two Samoyeds, thank you Bev, Angie, Dar,Patty and Rita for the food, thank you John and Bev for the use of the party room, thank all our KJR guys who helped me set up and take down, downstairs, thank you to all who took the time to attend, thank all of you who brought presents, and a special thanks to all our local Schenley residents who make Taff's life so happy every day.

It may have been our Gotcha Day  for Taff, but I think he has GOT all of us wrapped around one toe of his paw! hahaha
