Here are some traits that our boy has and please remember that this applies to only our dog. I have no experience with any other Samoyed and in fact have never seen one till he found us, neither did we know anyone else who had one.
Our Taff is with out a doubt the most loving, funny, inventive and friendly animal I have ever been associated with, not to mention beautiful, people are drawn to him like a magnet.
Our Taff is with out a doubt the most imaginative, creative, willful, high energy, shedding-ist, digging-ist, chewing-ist, running-ist, exuberant as a puppy-ist, contrary dog I have ever seen in my entire life, not for the faint hearted or people who worry about being embarrassed by their pets. This is a dog who lives life to the fullest, every day is a new challenge. This is a dog who wants to be with you and woe to you if you make him a latchkey boy. This is not a dog who does things to please you or for treats unless he wants too or he feels sorry for you hahaha. I can almost say it is like living with a perpetual combination teenager/ two year old (having raised 4 myself). Manhandling does not work, you have to out think them.
He is the light of our lives or our worst nightmare, hardly ever anything in between!
Everyday he brings a smile to our face in a hundred different ways, we could not even imagine life without him.
We would not have given you two cents for his chances when he showed up here,
We would not take a million for him now!

chewing paper waiting for anything
running being alone
sweet treats walking on a short leash
chase me game any closed door
digging rain on his head
riding in the car nightlights-go figure
outside dirty feet/ or heat
his G. I. Joe sleeping bag being told no
big bones veggies
squeak toys
I suspect he stays with us only until a meat cutter, who's wife is maybe a candy maker, and who lives on a thousand acres of unfenced land with game, 12 kids, maybe one other dog, somewhere north and colder than here comes along.
I suspect he will have a long wait hahaha.
You can take the dog out of the WAY WILD NORTH but you can't take the DNA out of the dog. In the meantime we are learning to compromise and what an adventure it is! Samoyeds appear to be a little known and unique breed, I am sure our Taff finds us the same hahaha.
