Taffy the Laffy Samoyed Pictures 10

Looking Upriver towards Kittanning. Above is three landmarks to locate us, the broken water is the dam across the Allegheny River from Lock 5, the second is the tallest structure towards the top, the water tower, and in between both are the grain towers, we are directly across the road from the grain towers and dam.

Looking downriver towards Pittsburgh, note blue water tower, and in upper right corner broken white water which is the dam, and far upper right hand corner the railroad freight bridge over the Allegheny River which belongs to Norfolk Southern. This is an old picture many of the buildings  in the former Schenley Distillery  (now closed) are gone it is now a large Industrial park.

Very old picture of our interchange with Norfolk Southern at Kiski Junction. Left to right River is the Allegheny, note dam to the left. River going up is the Kiskiminetas known as the Kiski. Across which is our railroad freight bridge. Our branch-line runs up this river on the left hand side but you can't see our tracks for the trees, it runs right on the edge of the river for 4 miles to the Bagdad Steel mill. The entire point of the Kiski River sticking out in the Allegheny River is ringed with private campsites and boat docks now.

Above is a view from the air of our railroad locomotive shed in red, note the grain towers and just off to the right in the break in the trees is the roof of our house.

Above: Upper left is view down the dead end road towards the water tower, (note railroad cars across the street) Upper right is view out towards our bridge and "downtown" Schenley. Lower left is steps which is our commute to work hahaha. Lower right is Taff admiring Dad's big digger.
